Cranleigh Based Therapist

I am Sally and I Love My Job!

I find it so rewarding helping people make positive changes in their lives. It is amazing how easy it can be by applying simple logic. And, I love “that look” on a client’s face when they reach a lightbulb moment or realise they are pain-free!

I Also Love …

Walking our dog in and around Cranleigh and appreciating the beautiful countryside, our caravan holidays, cooking over an open fire, reading, naked trees (in the autumn & winter) and being with my family.

How I Got Here

I was born in Surrey, moved to the West Highlands of Scotland at the age of six where I grew up and still think of fondly and enjoy visiting.

Then, at 17, I came back down to London where I worked my way up to Lettings Manager in a prestigious property management company. My husband and I moved to Cranleigh in 2002 where we have been pleased to make our home and bring up our two children.

I trained as a childminder after the birth of our second child which gave me the option to be a stay at home mum and still work. In 2010 I had had enough of nappy changing and decided it was time for a change.

I believe that one of the reasons counselling and eventually hypnotherapy appealed to me was that 8 months after the birth of my first child I realised that I was in a very dark place. Postnatal depression! I was very lucky with the support that I received from my health visitor. With weekly visits, she helped me turn my life around and got me back on track.

Training and Memberships

I originally qualifying with an AIM Awards Level 3 Certificate in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills (QCF). I am constantly improving and developing my skills with Continual Professional Development (CPD)courses and training in new techniques. These have included Working Directly with Trauma – EDMR (not using hypnosis), Hypno-Gastric Band, Mindfulness, the Brain and Therapy, KG Hypnobirthing Teacher Training that is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives, and OldPain2Go® (not using hypnosis) which I believe is a fantastic and adaptable methodology. I am a member of the National Hypnotherapy Society (Membership No. HYP15-02188), which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority, and I undertake to abide by their code of practice and ethics, this includes CPD and supervision requirements. I am also a member of The Hypnotherapy Directory, KGH Hypnobirthing Register and OldPain2Go® Certified Practitioners Listing.
